Things have changed here...for the better I'm hoping. I'll update soon, but in the mean time, he's something that has been diverting my attention from the real world. Behold Ninja Warrior, a silly Japanese "game" show. I love this so much I can't even begin to tell you. :)

Project 2 - Socks for Rick

Rick likes ankle socks. So, Rick is being my next victim in the sock frenzy. This pair is going much faster than the last. Here are some pictures most recent first.
I just wish he had smaller feet. If these were for me, the first one would be done by now. I still have a good inch and a half to knit before I do the toe decreases.
I'm using some yarn from DKKnits that she dyed just for me.

So, it only took me about 3 months...I'm getting faster however. I'm farther along on my newest pair than I was on this pair at this point. I'm also making fewer mistakes, so less ripping out.

Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. The socks are coming along nicely. I'm at the gusset part of the first one. I'll likely get it finished by the weekend and then I can cast on for the second one. I'm also going to cast on a fingerless glove pattern so that I have something to work on if I get to the point where I can't go any further without help while I'm in Colorado.

Speaking of Colorado, I'll be visiting for a training class from 12/1 - 12/9 in case anyone wants to hook up.

I've completely lost my mind. While it could be argued that this is not a new occurrence...I've taken up knitting. I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. However, me being me, I decided that the only way I could get myself really into it was to knit something that I would use. Since I'm not much of a sweater person, or a scarf person...I'm doing socks. This decision has resulted in some interesting responses at the Knit Night group that I'm going to....Because....socks are hard...
However, I'm jumping in with both feet....and eventually, I'll have something to show for it.

***Dave posted this clever map that shows what states you've been to. It's fairly interesting and my map is sadly lacking in Eastern visits. There is also another one of these by the same guy for countries and Canadian Provinces. Since I've never been out of the country, I won't bore you with those results. :)
