Sunday of Futility

Sunday we got up early (for us) and headed up to Multnomah Falls
Since I was driving, I decided we should take the scenic route up there on the Historic Columbia River Highway. It's a winding 35 MPH road that runs above the current Interstate 84 and the Columbia River. It's a beautiful trip with lots of scenic overlooks and state parks. Our first stop was Chanticleer Point aka The Portland Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint.

We stopped again at Vista House, and took some more pictures. We didn't actually take any pictures of Vista House, but you can find some nice ones at their site.

We never made it to Multnomah Falls, because there were WAY to many people and no parking. We'll try again when it isn't a holiday weekend, and perhaps later in the year. Our last stop on the way home down I-84 was Broughton's Point Scenic Overlook.

We snapped some more photos which can be found on the Flickr stream.

Futile or not, you took some beautiful pictures! I can't wait to see the ones of your vacation! I hope you're having a great time! Tell us all your adventures! (resting chin on hands, staring at computer waiting for adventure stories in fascinated manner). (smooch!)
